Vadhandhi
A new crime thriller web series 'Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie' was released on Amazon Prime with SJ Surya as the hero. It has been directed by director Andrew Lewis, who had previously scored a super hit with Vijay Antony starrer 'Killer'. And how is this series?
Vadhandhi Story: The movie unit complains to the police when the heroine Mamta, who came with them for the shoot, is found dead. While the investigation is going on, Mamata calls that she is in Bangalore. When the police investigate, the body found there is that of Veloni (Sanjana), the daughter of Ruby (Laila), who runs a local hotel.
This case will reach the hands of SS Vivek (SJ Surya). As time goes on, Vivek starts taking the case more personally. What happened after that? Who caused Veloni's death? You have to watch the series to know.
Analysis: There is some risk involved in making thriller content, be it movies or series. If the twist at the end is thrilling and convincing to the audience, there will be no big loss even if there are any flaws in the previous story or in the story. But if the plot is predictable, it is a bit difficult to enjoy the thriller.

Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie |
The story written by director Andrew Lewis in 'Vadhandhi: The Fable of Veloni' is good. The way the screenplay is written in layers is also very impressive. But the catch here is that the screenplay is very predictable in the initial episodes. It is not too difficult to guess the twists in the story.
'Vadhandhi' means rumor in Tamil. The story revolves around a girl who gets rumors about her in a suspicious manner. At one stage Veloni is suspicious of every character around him. The screenplay is predictable but the story picks up pace after four episodes. Every time the story ends, there is a new twist.
The twist at the end is impressive. Technically, this series has also been shot with high standards. Simon K. King's music goes well with the scenes. Richard Kevin's editing should have been crisper. It would have been better if the runtime of the episodes was reduced a bit. The cinematography by Saravanan Ramasamy is impressive. Build values are good.
When it comes to the actors... S.J. Surya has played the role of Vivek. There is no need to say how good an actor SJ Surya is. There are many layers to this character. An honest police officer, and a family man with various variations, Andrew Lewis has designed SJ Surya's character.

Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie |
In this series, Velo is the key role rather than the hero. Sanjana did 100 percent justice in this character. Laila who plays the role of Sanjana's mother is also impressive. Nasser and the other actors who appeared in the role did justice to their roles.
Overall... this web series will appeal to those who love crime thrillers. If you want to watch a good thriller to pass the time this weekend, you can try 'Vadandi: The Fable of Veloni'. Difficult to watch with family as there are some offensive scenes.
