Analysis (Yashoda Telugu Review): The story of 'Yashoda' revolves around surrogacy in promotional films. So, what's in the movie? It means 'beyond that'. 'Yashoda' was screened with an unexpected concept in the background of surrogacy.
There is a new concept in the story of 'Yashoda'. There is an emotion that everyone can connect with. Especially women! There is a star cast on the screen that impresses the audience. There is heroism in the style of star hero movies. What happens next? There is a narrative that carries forward with excitement.
And, did you miss anything? That means... relaxing scenes in between! Some of the emotions that come after a good thrill-giving scene divert the attention of the audience. They seem routine. Even the scenes between Samantha and her younger sister... Varalakshmi Sarathkumar's backstory would have been better designed to have more depth.
The movie has a good start. After that, it took some time to get into the actual story. Those scenes seem to lag. The pace of the story picks up before the interval. Subsequent scenes create more interest. The new concept gives the feeling of watching a movie.

In terms of production values and technical aspects, 'Yashoda' is of high standards. Mani Sharma's background music is a plus for the movie. The artwork (sets in the movie) are all rich. The cinematography is good. Dialogues in 'Yashoda' are written to suit the character and scenes.
Pulagam Chinnarayana, dr. Challa Bhagyalakshmi wrote the words. 'Can only women have courage?' Samantha's dialogue elevates the heroism in that scene. Directors Hari and Harish have brought a new story to the screen. However... it would have been better if the film was taken forward with a racy screenplay, balancing emotions and action.
How did the actors do? : Samantha gave a settled performance as Yashoda. Her character has different shades. Showed well in acting. The physical hardships she goes through for Yashoda are also seen on screen. He was ferocious in fights. After Samantha, most people remember the characters of Unni Mukundan and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar. The highlight of the performance of both is in the scene where Unni is targeted by Samantha.
Saying more than this will reveal a twist. Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar's performance is good. But, she is still having difficulty speaking Telugu clearly. It needs to be corrected. Murali Sharma, Rao Ramesh, Shatru, Sampath Raj, and others are used to doing such roles. So, they took it easy. Divya Sripada's performance is natural among the girls who appear pregnant at the surrogacy fertility center.
What is the final say? : 'Yashoda' is an emotional thriller. There are many things in the movie that Samantha fans will like. Especially her fights! Emotional scenes! 'Yashoda' is the best option for the audience who are waiting for movies with a new concept. The minus points are that the movie starts a bit slow and some emotions divert in the middle. But... what happens next? The story was carried to the end to create interest and suspense in the audience. Happy to see Samantha's heroism, a new concept.
